Dealing with Sounds

Support for dealing with sound sensitivity through one-on-one sessions at Studio20.

Studio20

What began as a course-based platform has naturally grown into a more personal way of working. Today, this work continues within Studio20, where I offer one-on-one support around selective sound sensitivity, also known as misophonia.

A natural shift

Omgaanmetgeluid.nl started as a Dutch course-based platform for people dealing with sound sensitivity and sensory overwhelm. The intention was to offer insight, understanding, and practical tools in a clear and structured way. Over time, this work naturally shifted from courses to personal sessions.

Personal coaching

At Studio20, I work one-on-one with people who notice that certain sounds trigger strong reactions such as fight, flight, freeze, or fawn, and who wish to experience more calm, safety, and space in daily life.

In these sessions, we slow down and gently explore what is happening in your system, at your own pace. The space adapts to what you need: conversation, reflection, creative inquiry, or simply room to breathe.

The work is grounded, personal, and responsive.

About me

I speak from lived experience. I am highly sensitive myself and have lived with misophonia for many years. Along the way, I explored different therapies and ways of understanding what was happening in my system. These experiences shaped my perspective on sound sensitivity.

I don’t see sound sensitivity as something to fix, but as a signal that invites listening, slowing down, and making conscious choices.
