About me
Hi, I’m Marianne.
I’ve always been curious about the different ways people shape their lives.
So I often ask:
What have you been up to so far?
What are you doing now?
What are you keen on trying next?
That’s usually where the sparks begin to show up.
Recognising sparks
When people start sharing their stories, ideas, and questions, something lights up.
In them, and in me.
Almost as if something inside says,
“Ah, there you are. Let’s go.”
As we keep talking, small sparks begin to appear.
A bit like catching tiny pieces of confetti in the air.
Ideas that were already there,
simply waiting for a little space and attention.
People often tell me they feel at ease sharing,
and that something in my presence helps them slow down and open up.
That’s the space where ideas can be heard, seen, and felt,
and begin to take shape.
Curiosity over certainty
I recognise that space because I’ve needed it myself.
Over the years I’ve followed many different paths.
I’ve moved often, lived in different countries,
and chosen curiosity over certainty more than once.
I’ve worked as an English teacher, student counsellor,
content writer, and yoga teacher.
What I’ve learned along the way is simple:
We rarely need to have everything figured out.
Often, we take one small step,
and something begins to move from there.
I sometimes call these steps Momentum Creating Activities.
One small step a day, just enough to create movement.
A different rhythm
Living in places like South Africa, Mozambique, and Spain
deepened my appreciation for slower rhythms
and different ways of living.
Slowing down gave me something unexpected:
time to listen more carefully.
Many ideas are surprisingly quiet.
They are often already there,
simply waiting for a little attention.
Studio20
Studio20 grew from that same rhythm.
The name is a small wink to my birthday on September 20,
and to the many sparks of ideas that seem to move through life.
It is a space where people pause, reconnect with themselves,
and explore the ideas they are carrying.
A space where ideas can be heard, seen, and felt,
and begin to take shape in a way that feels true to them.
Where an ordinary day can begin to feel a little more like a HOLYday,
a playful nod to holiday.
Not something you wait for,
but something you create,
by following a spark of curiosity and seeing where it leads.
Curious to connect?
I’d love to hear from you. I’m here. Just say hello.
