Studio20 FAQ
If you're curious about coaching at Studio20, you may find the answer here. If not, you're always welcome to get in touch.
What kind of sessions do you offer?
I offer one-to-one coaching through Studio20, either online or through a Walk & Talk coaching session in Amsterdam or Mallorca.
You can also choose coaching for small private groups or asynchronous coaching if you enjoy a slower rhythm with time to reflect between conversations.
Some people come with an idea they'd like to develop. Others arrive with a question, an important decision or simply a feeling that something in life or work wants their attention.
Wherever you begin, we'll start with what feels most present and explore it together.
Who is the coach behind Studio20?
I’m Marianne de Kuyper, the person behind Studio20. I’m a certified coach with a background in teaching, student counselling, writing and yoga.
I bring more than 20 years of experience working with people, along with my own experience of moving, changing direction and building a life in different places.
Through Studio20, I offer a calm space to pause, think things through and explore what’s next. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. You can simply start with what’s on your mind.
Is this coaching or mentoring?
The work I offer through Studio20 is coaching.
I believe people are naturally creative, resourceful and capable of finding their own way forward. My role isn't to tell you what to do, but to ask thoughtful questions, listen deeply and create space for your own insights to emerge.
From time to time I may share a reflection, an exercise or a practical tool when it feels supportive, but the conversation always begins with you.
Do you also offer therapy?
Studio20 offers coaching rather than therapy or medical care.
In therapy, the primary focus is often on understanding, processing or healing psychological difficulties and past experiences.
Coaching can certainly include talking about the past when it helps us understand what's happening today. The difference is that we explore those experiences in service of the present and the future, with a focus on awareness, possibility and meaningful next steps.
When it feels supportive, I may also draw on body awareness, breathwork, mindfulness or simple grounding practices. These are always optional and offered in support of the coaching conversation.
If I ever feel that another form of support would be more appropriate, I'll happily help you find the right professional.

Do I need a clear goal before booking?
Not at all.
Some people arrive knowing exactly what they’d like to explore. Others simply have a feeling that something keeps returning and deserves a little more attention.
You don't need to have everything figured out before we begin. Bring the question. Bring the idea. Bring the spark that keeps returning. We'll start there.
What can I bring to a coaching session?
You can bring whatever feels most present.
It might be a decision you're trying to make, an idea you'd like to explore, a change you're considering, something in your work or personal life that isn't quite sitting right, or simply a sense that something wants your attention.
You don't need to arrive with a clearly defined problem or a ready-made goal. If you'd like a little help getting started, the Resources page offers journals, workbooks and handouts you can explore before or between sessions.
Can coaching help me develop a creative idea?
Yes. You don't have to be a professional creative to bring an idea to coaching.
Sometimes an idea needs space before you know what it is or what you want to do with it. Coaching can help you explore what's underneath it, notice what's getting in the way and find a meaningful next step.
I also taught myself web design and built this website, and I manage my own social media and online presence. If, after coaching, you're ready to bring your idea into the world, I can also support you as a mentor with the practical side of making it happen.

Do I need to commit to a longer coaching journey?
Not necessarily.
Some people come for one conversation. Others discover that they enjoy having a regular space to pause, reflect and keep moving forward over time.
We'll simply find a rhythm that feels supportive for you.
Can sessions include yoga or mindfulness?
Yes, when it feels helpful.
As a certified yoga teacher, I sometimes invite a moment to arrive before we begin. That might be a breath, a short meditation or a simple grounding exercise.
Depending on what we're exploring, we may also work with body awareness or gentle mindfulness practices. They're always optional and adapted to what feels comfortable for you.
Where does Studio20 offer coaching?
I offer coaching online and in person in Amsterdam and Mallorca.
In Amsterdam or Mallorca, you can also choose a Walk & Talk session outdoors. Sometimes walking side by side makes it easier to think, reflect and notice what wants to emerge.
Are coaching sessions available online?
Yes. Most coaching conversations happen online.
Online sessions make it possible to work together wherever you are, while Walk & Talk sessions are available when you're in Amsterdam or Mallorca.
Which language are sessions in?
Sessions can take place in English or Dutch.

Every coaching journey begins with a free introductory conversation.

I work with people from different countries, professions and backgrounds, so I don't work with one standard fee for everyone. Instead, we'll agree on an approach that feels fair and appropriate for your situation.
