1. What is Studio20?

Studio20 is a flexible, creative space designed to meet you where you are. Whether you're looking for a yoga studio, an art space, a coaching hub, or a blend of all these, it’s a place for yoga, meditation, breath work and personal growth. Through creative coaching and reflective exercises, through the concept of Studio20 I invite you to explore and reconnect with your inner spark.

The name “Studio20” is a nod to my birthday on September 20th, a reminder to celebrate life’s small, meaningful moments and embrace the belief that every step, no matter how small, matters.

2. What services do you offer?

At Studio20, I offer yoga, meditation, breathwork and personal growth sessions. I call these combined practices Creative Flow Sessions. They blend yoga with creative coaching exercises, prompts and practices to ignite your creativity and help you reconnect with your inner spark. These sessions incorporate movement, reflection, and intuitive guidance, all designed to support your growth, bring clarity to your life, and offer relaxation and ease in your daily routine.

3. How can I work with you?

You can book 1:1 sessions with me, either in-person or online. Online sessions are ideal for relaxed, deep conversations, where we can explore your topics at a comfortable pace. In-person sessions are perfect for personalized yoga guidance, where I can help you adjust the poses to best suit your body, ensuring you get the full benefit. Our focus is not to make your body fit the pose, but to adapt the pose to your body. Together, we’ll explore your unique journey and find the approach that works best for you. For more details, visit the Work With Me or Sessions page.

4. Do you offer online sessions?

Yes, I offer online sessions for yoga and personal guidance. These sessions are ideal if you're looking to explore your creativity or work through specific topics. The relaxed, conversational online approach allows us to take our time and explore what’s on your mind at a comfortable pace. For more hands-on yoga guidance, in-person sessions offer personalized adjustments to help align your body and ensure the poses are tailored to your needs. Feel free to reach out and schedule a session that suits you!

5. What is your approach to yoga and personal growth?

I approach yoga and personal growth with a spirit of gentle curiosity and self-acceptance. For me, it's about asking questions, like why things are the way they are, how I can handle them and what steps I can take to make life feel easier, simpler, and more joyful.

This curiosity has guided my journey since I first began exploring personal growth at 22 (you can read more about it in my blog here), where I allowed myself to make room for challenges like fear of failure, abandonment issues, depression, and suppressed anger. It’s been a long, steady, and gentle process of opening up to these experiences, with vulnerability as a source of strength and freedom. I hope the same sense of healing and freedom can unfold for you too.

My approach is intuitive and relaxed, always aiming to create space for you to reconnect with your inner spark, find clarity, and move at your own pace. I believe every journey is unique, and I’m here to support you in finding your own path to more inner peace and growth.

6. Where are you located?

Studio20 is based in both Amsterdam and Mallorca, but I’d love to welcome you to Mallorca, where we can fully disconnect from the online world. My off-grid casita, located just 8 kilometers from the nearest village and away from WiFi, offers a peaceful, nature-filled environment perfect for reflection and growth.

This space allows us to step away from distractions and embrace the quiet energy of nature, reminding us that even what seems lifeless can be a seed waiting for the right soil to grow. Online sessions are also available for those who can’t join in person, so you can connect from anywhere in the world.

7. How do I book a session?

You can easily book a session through the Contact Page, or feel free to reach out directly at hello@studio20.me if you have any questions or need more information. I’m here to help you find the service that best suits your needs. Plus, your first 20 minutes are free, so we can explore how we can work together before committing to a full session.

8. Can I join your classes if I’m new to yoga?

Absolutely! My yoga classes are accessible to all levels. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, I create a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable and encouraged to explore your practice.

I draw from my approach, inspired by José de Groot, who was guided by Paul and Suzy Grilley in Functional Yoga, and Bernie Clark, whose book ‘Your Body, Your Yoga’ emphasizes adapting poses to fit your unique body.

This method focuses on understanding how your body works, ensuring each posture is suited to your individual structure. We work with your body, not against it, offering a mindful and safe practice that evolves with you at your own pace.

9. What do I need for a yoga class or sessions?

Come with an open heart and a curious mind, ready to explore. I suggest wearing comfortable clothes and bringing a notebook and pen, as they can be helpful for reflecting. My approach is spontaneous, intuitive, and sometimes bubbly, so we’ll see in the moment what’s needed. I’ll always make sure you feel comfortable and supported, with mats, blankets, cushions, tea, and inspiring books or cards to guide us. The focus is on creating a calm, safe, and cozy space where you can feel at ease, grounded, and allow yourself the space to explore your options, whether that´s your range of motion in a yoga pose, or new focus in life.

10. What can I expect from your creative flow sessions?

My Creative Flow Sessions are all about exploration, connection, and going with the flow of the moment. These sessions are based on my lived experience rather than formal coaching certifications, although I do hold yoga certifications for those who value that. What excites me most is that each session is unique and unfolds naturally, depending on the mutual exchange of energy between us.

These sessions aren’t about me doing the work for you. They’re about you committing to be honest, true, and real with yourself. Together, we’ll explore what’s needed in the moment—whether it’s yoga, meditation, breathwork, creative expression, personal reflection, or a new approach to your journey. The focus is on a flexible, spontaneous approach, where your curiosity and openness guide the session, helping you reconnect with your true self and move forward with clarity.

11. How can I reconnect with my inner spark?

Reconnecting with your inner spark is about taking a step back and tuning into what truly lights you up. It’s not about following a prescribed path or fitting into a “normal” routine that society says is the right way. It’s about finding your own rhythm, something that feels natural and energizing to you, not what everyone else is doing.

Through yoga, meditation, reflection, and creative practices, I support you in slowing down, listening, and discovering what sparks your curiosity and motivation. A big part of this is taking one MCA (Momentum Creating Activity) per day to move in YOUR direction. It's about creating small but powerful actions that help you build momentum, step by step, towards your own goals and desires.

Your inner spark is that small, quiet feeling or idea that guides you when you’re ready to pay attention to it. It’s about finding what works for you, what you want to do with your time, and how to honor your needs—whether through moments of stillness, creative expression, or simply being honest with yourself about what you need in the moment.

12. What if I have a specific question or request?

Feel free to reach out to me directly via the Contact Page and simply ask what you feel like asking.

I don’t follow rigid guidelines or rules. I go with what feels honest, true, and real. My approach is about creating a space where both giving and receiving are balanced, not just in terms of money, but in the exchange of energy during our sessions.

I can guide you in the best way I know how when we both set the foundation for our time together. One based on trust, mutual respect, and commitment. This includes being present, being on time, and holding each other accountable.

If your request falls outside of what I can support directly, especially if it’s trauma-related, I have a network on the island and I will gladly help connect you to the right people and resources for further support.

About Labels & Certifications

13. Why do you use labels like yoga, coaching or creative sessions?

While I use labels like "yoga," "coaching," or "creative sessions," these are simply practical terms to help explain what’s available. However, they don’t fully capture the essence of Studio20.

We are not defined by what we do, and these labels are just a way to give you an idea of the tools and approaches I offer. My focus is on adapting to your individual journey, with personal growth and creativity going beyond any label. Each session is an opportunity to explore what works for you, without the pressure of fitting into a predefined category.

14. Are you Yoga Alliance certified?

I’ve chosen not to pursue Yoga Alliance certification because, to me, it’s a system more focused on marketing and paperwork than on the real essence of teaching. The certification requires teachers to complete a set number of hours with “accredited” schools, which are essentially paying for the privilege of using the Yoga Alliance brand. This creates a commercial system that focuses on meeting minimum standards, rather than on the depth of experience or the quality of connection a teacher can offer.

Yoga Alliance certification doesn’t assess how well a teacher connects with their students or how deeply they understand the practice. It’s about fulfilling minimum hour requirements and paying for the brand, rather than focusing on the quality or personal journey of the teacher.

For me, yoga is a personal and evolving practice—one rooted in connection, experience, and growth, not in ticking boxes or following rigid rules. My approach is grounded in lived experience, intuition, and how deeply I can support my students. I believe in creating space for real exploration, free from the need for external labels or certifications.

In the end, what matters most to me is your growth and connection to your practice, not a brand or a certificate.

15. What are your certifications and qualifications?

I understand the curiosity around certifications, and I’ve shared my background with you to provide some context on my Certification Page. Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of roles and explored different paths, each of which has shaped the way I teach and work today.

However, I’ve never felt the need to fit my experience into a standard CV. To me, life isn’t about accumulating job titles or ticking boxes; it’s about following the creative sparks and intuitive guidance that lead me in the right direction, moment by moment.

I’ve followed my heart and explored roles and fields that felt aligned with me, whether that’s working in communications, editing class materials as an editor, teaching English, supporting students, teaching yoga, or now running Studio20 and helping others with their online presence and creative pursuits.

Everything I’ve done has contributed to where I am now, and rather than seeing it as a list of steps leading me somewhere, I see it as a blend of experiences that inform my work every day.

Certifications, like my yoga training, reflect the skills I’ve developed along the way, but the true value lies in how I show up for you through personal experience, intuition, and connection. It’s not about the titles; it’s about being present, offering what I’ve learned, and creating a space for you to grow in your own way.

So, while I’m happy to share my qualifications, I always want to remind you that it’s the real-time experience and mutual exchange during our time together that matters most.

Website & Design Services

19. I love your website! Can you make one for me?

I design all my websites myself, and I’m so glad you like this one. A friend recently said, “Wow, where do you get these great websites? They're clear, attractively designed, and filled with valuable content. Marianne, that's special! Why don't you offer web design? Other people make a lot of money with this, and you do it so naturally!"

This feedback is so appreciated, and it’s a reminder of the motivation I’ve always had for self-learning and creative exploration. I taught myself web design, content creation, and even how to set up and design my own Squarespace website and Substack. Everything I've built has been through trial, error, and a lot of curiosity.

In addition to this website, I’ve created a variety of projects, including personal portfolios and creative online spaces for other freelancers. If you’re interested in having a website or an online space made, feel free to reach out via the Contact Page.
