Studio20 — Yoga Teaching
Update: I’m bringing together all my experiences and learning, so soon these pages will give a clear picture. For now, they’re gently shifting as I let everything settle into place.
Certification & Yoga Teaching
Yoga has been a steady thread in my life for many years. A space where I return to listen, learn and reconnect. I’ve completed more than 500 hours of certified Yoga Teacher Training, graduating consistently in the top three of my class, as well as over 500 hours of workshops and retreats with international teachers. These experiences have gently shaped how I practice and teach Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative, Yoga as well as Yoga Nidra.
Over time, I’ve explored many ways to help people grow, learn, and reconnect with their own inner spark. This page offers a glimpse into my journey, my trainings, teaching experience and the teachers and places that have inspired me along the way.
Take a moment to explore my yoga journey below, and if it speaks to you, feel free to reach out.
With care,
Marianne
Yoga Teaching Education
I’m known for my eye for detail, calm presence, and soothing voice. My teaching is inspired by the method of Paul Grilley and his wife, focusing on Functional Anatomy, making the yoga match your body, not your body the yoga. I’ve also given new meaning to Y.O.G.A., calling it Your Own Grounding Activity.

Yoga Alliance
Why I’ve chosen a different path
Many teachers hold a Yoga Alliance certification, but I’ve chosen not to pursue this label. For me, it doesn’t reflect a teacher’s depth, connection or understanding of the practice. The system is focused on sending in training certifications, meeting minimum hours and paying for the brand rather than on the quality of teaching or the personal journey behind it.
Yoga is about connection, depth and lived experience, not a paid certification. I have taught full-time, 10 to 14 hours per week, for four years, accumulating what I like to call my on-the-mat hours. I have also completed over 900+ hours of training with a variety of teachers. Since 2015, I’ve continued teaching part-time during my travels and in Spain, following my own path and letting my practice and teaching evolve naturally.
What matters most to me is your growth, your connection to your practice, and the space I create for you to explore it, not a certificate. Curious to experience it yourself? Come and find me.
Practice with Me Online
For those who would like to explore yoga at their own pace, I share guided sessions and practices online. You can find these on YouTube and Insight Timer, offering accessible ways to reconnect with your body, breath, and inner awareness wherever you are.
Curious to Connect
If this resonates with you, whether for a professional collaboration, mentorship, or if you’re a teacher and would like guidance, I can share from my own experience and journey. I’d love to hear from you.
